With the Stanton team paving the way, SaverLife – the fintech non-profit that inspires working Americans to save money by making saving easy and fun – launched their Voice campaign this July. SaverLife saw a need for their 500,000+ low-income members to have a voice in legislation, public policy, and the media. With the Child Tax Credit becoming a huge issue in the fight against poverty, SaverLife took this highly publicized opportunity to carry the flag for their often times, voiceless members.
“These families need the Child Tax Credit for groceries, clothes and essentials for their children,” Radha Seshagiri, SaverLife’s director of public policy and systems change, explained. “Many legislators want the credit to be temporary.”
With Radha championing the SaverLife message Stanton achieved coverage for the SaverLife Voice on eight ABC-owned stations: Child tax credit 2021: Find out eligibility, how much could you receive – ABC7 Los Angeles; FOX Media Matters Fox News struggles to attack the upcoming child tax credit payments | Media Matters for America; and CNBC: Here’s how parents are spending stimulus checks sent to their kids (cnbc.com) – among many others.
Radha and SaverLife are still fighting to keep this credit ongoing and perpetual for the families for which it is a lifeline. In the coming months, Radha will continue sounding the Voice of SaverLife members especially in Georgia, California, Arizona, West Virginia and Michigan – key states for Child Tax Credit reform legislation. The Stanton team will be by her side with introductions to key media venues where the SaverLife Voice can be amplified.
